Zavi manages a province-wide Youth Wellness Grant program supporting community-led care for youth affected by the toxic drug crisis, alongside other strategic grant projects. He is a queer and trans white settler living and working on the traditional, unceded and occupied lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Qiqéyt (Qayqayt) Nations.

Zavi holds an MA in Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice from UBC and has over 15 years of experience in community development across the non-profit and public sectors. His background includes designing and facilitating leadership programs for youth ages 13–25, and he is currently a board member of LOVE BC. He brings a strong commitment to equity and systems change, and his work is informed by lived experience with mental health and disability. In addition, he enjoys connecting with people over gardening, pets, video games, and cozy hobbies.
