CAI is inspired by innovative work happening in local communities across the province. Building on what has been collectively learned from working with community based orginizations, CAI has developed a special focus on supporting knowledge exchange, research, capacity development, and equity-oriented evaluation. CAI aims to work directly with community to leverage local knowledge and build a strong and sustainable mental health and substance use sector through application of an equity-lens to mental health and substance use issue. Continued support for community leadership is essential to building an equitable, community informed mental health and addictions system of care.
