We’re excited to share important news about how the Community Counselling Fund continues to make a difference across British Columbia. The Province of B.C. has announced a $6.7 million investment to ensure adults living with mental-health challenges can continue to access free and low-cost counselling services.
Administered by CAI, this funding supports 44 community-based organizations across the province—urban, rural, and Indigenous communities alike—so that thousands of people can receive the care they need, often for the very first time.
This announcement highlights the impact of our shared work: more than 362,000 counselling sessions have been delivered since 2019, helping people address trauma, grief, isolation, and economic hardship while strengthening community health and resilience.
