Resources and Knowledge Exchange

CAI is inspired by innovative work happening in local communities across the province. Building on what has been collectively learned from working with CBOs, CAI has developed a special focus on supporting knowledge exchange, research, capacity development, and equity-oriented evaluation. CAI aims to work directly with community to leverage local knowledge and build a strong and sustainable mental health and substance use sector through application of an equity-lens to mental health and substance use issue.  Continued support for community leadership is essential to building an equitable, community informed mental health and addictions system of care.

Through this work, CAI aims to enhance the profile of community providers among government, health authorities and decision-makers, and as well, to define the unique role for, and value contribution of community agencies, in meeting local mental health and substance use service needs and gaps.
