Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) serves over 1.25 million people along the coastline of BC with the vision of creating healthy lives in healthy communities. VCH employees are dedicated, committed, and skilled caregivers who share a calling and purpose; a purpose to help; to heal, and to deliver compassion to whomever needs it. They are people who care for more than one million fellow B.C.
residents in communities across the province. VCH is guided by their collective values to care for everyone; to always learn, and to constantly strive for better results. Individually, they are more than 17,000, spread across 86 disciplines, and 112 locations; but together VCH is one; one collective; one powerful, hopeful, unstoppable force for good. A unified force that delivers exceptional care for all.
In response to the dramatic rise of opioid overdoses and drug poisoning episodes; VCH has been working with experts, community members and the general public to develop programs and initiatives to save lives and foster inclusive communities.
