Overdose Prevention Site

Provide spaces for people to inject previously-obtained illegal substances with sterile equipment, in settings where they can be observed and others can quickly intervene in the event of an overdose. OPSs were established as part of the BC public health emergency response, to provide monitoring and rapid intervention in the case of an overdose (Pauly, B., Wallace, B., Pagan, F., Phillips, J., Wilson, M., Hobbs, H., & Connolly, J., 2020).
